The last four
experiences were facilitated by coaching that I had at
the time. Through getting results in these various
situations I really developed a strong belief in the
power of coaching. My first and most powerful
experience was when I had no manager at work and was
very caught up in the political side of my job and was
facing potential redundancy. This was a very
challenging time for me and one where my self esteem
suffered for various reasons but with coaching I felt
supported and empowered and my perspective changed so
that I was no longer ‘the victim’, nor someone who
thought negatively and lacked awareness of how my
thinking patterns reinforced my low self esteem and
confidence.
Consequently the whole situation seemed
much less daunting, my self esteem and confidence
developed enormously and as a result I became much more
positive and buoyant which enabled me to cope with
difficult situations. Being able to share my progress
with my coach at the time reinforced the changes that I
made and helped me recognise how much I had achieved.
This is just one example of the power of psychological
techniques such as coaching. For other examples
see Harmony4Life A-Z of client
testimonies.

respect your views

Areas of specialism
I specialise in
helping clients remove various internal blocks, e.g.
overcoming anxiety, increasing self esteem, confidence
and the positive mental attitude necessary for success
in all walks of life. I also have proven success in
helping people regain control of their emotions and
significantly improve their personal and professional
relationships. Specific areas of personal interest
include stress, insomnia and coping with bereavement.
I have successfully worked with people to improve their work
performance and progress their career. I have
achieved this through identifying development areas using
psychometric tools and using cognitive behavioural
coaching, hypnotherapy and NLP techniques to develop behaviours/
competencies (e.g. confidence), or skills
(both soft and technical).
I have vast experience of professional coaching.
This includes graduates/ young professionals
who have entered large corporates at direct entry level
and want to be more self directed to ensure they gain
appropriate development and career progression.
I
can offer professional/ performance coaching to
graduates/ young management trainees in association with
psychometric tools. Coaching helps graduates reach
their full potential in line with career goals set at
the start of a graduate scheme/ job. I believe
coaching can act as the essential ‘thread’ that
links all different aspects of development, e.g. on and
off the job training/ development.
Continuous
Professional Development and support
The field of
psychology, cognitive
behavioural, performance, life coaching, hypnotherapy and NLP is continually expanding and new
research and techniques are constantly developed. I aim
to meet annual development targets in order to ensure
that my skills are continually enhanced and updated.
Consequently all my clients receive the best possible
hypnotherapy/coaching solutions.
I also attend
peer support groups and receive ongoing support from the
company that I completed my Hypnotherapy Diploma with,
which further ensures that I always select the best path
for my clients.
As a coach I
believe it is very important to continuously focus on
personal development and therefore regularly practice
self coaching and sometimes seek coaching from other
professionals to compliment this.
I find it useful to
use another coach to revitalise my motivation to its
full potential, gain new self insights and speed up my
progress towards my goals, amongst other things. I
also use hypnotherapy to overcome any blocks I need to
overcome in order to move my business or personal life
forward.
Professional
insurance
As with any
registered professional, I am required to have full
professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
How I am
different from other hypnotherapists/ coaches?
-
I make
psychological techniques accessible through
online cognitive behavioural coaching, hypnotherapy
and NLP, as
well as face to face sessions in Bristol
-
I have developed the
'Hourglass Model' © to improve the
therapeutic relationship and
always tailor the use of
cognitive behavioural coaching, hypnotherapy and NLP
techniques to your needs. My aim is to help you pin
down your goals and understand what may get in the
way of you achieving those. Where it is safe to do
so I will always address the root cause of any
barrier(s) which are preventing you from reaching
your goals and living the life you want and deserve;
-
I will work with clients to set objectives and
desired outcomes for hypnotherapy/coaching and if
these are not met at the end of the session(s) I
will endeavour to find a paper based solution for
clients to take away;
-
I will take on board client’s feedback and make
improvements accordingly;
-
I offer over the phone support after
hypnotherapy/coaching session(s)
-
I specialise in :
- the use of psychometrics and development
reports
- developing self confidence and self esteem
- identifying and replacing limiting beliefs
- overcoming driving test nerves
- support in career progression/ job hunting,
including re-writing CVs
